Remove drain hose (1) from the holder on the upper frame. Face the end of the hose toward the container.
Loosen the drain valve (2). Drain the oil into a suitable container. Note: Drained fluids should always be disposed of according to local regulations.

Tighten the drain valve. Hook the drain hose (1) to the holder (3). Make sure that the end of the hose is facing upward.

Remove dipstick (4).
Add the specified quantity of oil through the dipstick tube. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)".
Check the oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Swing Drive Oil Level - Check" for instructions.
Check the oil that has been drained for metal chips or metal particles. Consult your Caterpillar dealer if any metal chips or metal particles are found.
Drained materials should always be disposed of according to local regulations.
