Rate of penetration of the bit
Rotary torque
Air pressure on the drill pipe The six gauges that display along the top of the drill dashboard are used to display the values of the drilling controls that the operator uses to drill a hole. Depending on the conditions, these controls are adjusted during drilling.Parameters are configured for each control during setup and configuration of the drill system. If a drill system is configured properly, the gauges can be used to indicate to the operator when a threshold has been reached by the color of the gauge icon. The following information indicates the meaning of each color:Gray - This color indicates normal working values.Yellow - This color indicates that the upper threshold is reached. Also, this color indicates caution to the operator.Red - This color indicates that the value has reached over the configured threshold and that damage to the machine may occur.Note: The air pressure gauge will turn red if no air is applied to the drill. Do not drill without air pressure. Air must be supplied during drilling to prevent clogging in the hole or the drill bit.Note: All threshold warnings will be captured in the fault screen.Drill Start/Stop Button
The drill start/stop button is for the operator to interrupt the drilling sequence manually. This button appears in one of the three following colors:
Gray - When this button is gray, the system is disabled. Drilling cannot be started or stopped. When the drill is in the change steel state, the status of the button will be disabled. The change steel state is indicated by the replacement of the drill button with the add steel icon or remove steel icon. Refer to Systems Operation, "Main Menu" for more information on the add steel icon.
Green - When this button is green, drilling can be started by pressing this button. The hole screen will appear.
Red - A red button indicates that a hole is already started. Drilling may be stopped by pressing this button. If the target depth has been reached, a message will display that will ask the operator to confirm or cancel. If the bit is in the hole, then a warning message will display.
