Machine ECM software
The changes and improvements within the Machine ECM software are as follows:
Low Speed Rimpull Configuration feature has been added. This feature is Factory Password protected to change between Enable/Disable through Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) Service Tool 2012C. Default is set to Disabled from the factory.
Bucket Shake-out Enable/Disable through Cat ET 2012C.
Tilt calibration improvements.
Ability in Cat ET to lockout Fine Mode, Creep Control, Rimpull, Third Function flow, and Kickout settings through Cat ET 2012C.
Ability to set up Rimpull to maintain last known setting on keypad, so it will be remembered over key cycle through Cat ET 2012C.
Quick Steer Default range to change from Speed Range 1 to Speed Range 2 for new machines. Machines that are already built will not be affected.
Power Test through Cat ET 2012C.
Fourth Function improvement.
Removed 3rd and 4th Function Calibration. If not calibrated, then will use the default.
Improved manual linkage calibrations when Position Sensors are disabled.
Hystat Uncommanded Motion Detection (UCMD) improvement related to nuisance diagnostic when in reverse on a grade.
Disengage the clutch after key off instead of waiting for ECM to shut down.
There is no longer need to be above 1000 RPM to activate "Throttle Lock". If below 1000 RPM, when operator clicks the button "Throttle Lock" will turn on and set to 1000 RPM.Secondary Display (Monitor) software
The changes and improvements within the Secondary Display (Monitor) software are as follows:
When Fine Mode, Creep Control, Rimpull, Third Function, and Kickouts are locked out through Cat ET, if operator tries to adjust in display will get a "Feature Locked Out" message on display banner. The default is enabled for these functions.
When a feature is disabled on the keypad (Quick Steer), when you click that button the Secondary Display will show you "Feature Disabled".Added Polish Language to Secondary Display Flashing instructions for secondary display/monitor:Note: Flash File should be located in the Root Directory (Not in a folder) of a USB Stick.
Put the USB Stick in the back of the Secondary Display.
Click the Menu button on the display.
Select "Service" and click "OK" button.
Select "USB Access" and click "OK" button.
Select "Software Update" and click "OK" button.
Select your Flash File and click "OK" to begin flashing. When flashing is complete, the display will restart.Note: Do not forget to remove the USB Stick from the back of the display.Adaptable To: The new software part number is listed in Table 1.Note: The new software is available in the form of a flash file through Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS). Go to SIS Web to make sure that the new flash file part number is still the latest flash file part number. A newer flash file part number may be available. SIS Web only displays the latest available flash file.
