26. Measure dimension (X) from housing (9) to the top of barrel (90). Be sure the barrel is seated on shaft (96). 27. Install plate (13) on head (7). Measure dimension (Y) from the top of plate (13) to head (7).28. Check for proper barrel clearance .1 to .3 mm (.004 to .012 in). "X" - "Y" = .1 to .3 mm (.004 to .012 in). If the barrel clearance is not within tolerance, correct it with shims (92). See Step 15, Photo C20094P1. If "X" - "Y" is less than .1 mm (.004 in), subtract shims (92).If "X" - "Y" is greater than .3 mm (.012 in), add shims (92).29. Remove barrel (90) from the housing. Remove the snap ring and retainer from the barrel.
Install the flat side of retainer (95) against spring (94).
30. Install retainer (95), spring (94) and retainer (93) and shims (92) that were determined in Steps 27 through 29 in barrel (90). Using tool (B), compress spring (94), and install snap ring (91).31. Reinstall the barrel assembly in the housing. 32. Put cover (82) in a soft jawed vise. Install pin (91) and spacer (90). Install two pins (88) and retainer (89).33. Install tooling (A). Install plate (85), guide (86) and spring (84) on retainer (89). Install two cams (81) through plate (85). Install two nuts (79).
Be sure two spring pins (87) are in cover (82) prior to installation.
34. Apply 6V6640 Gasket Maker to housing (9). Install cover (82). Install two spring pin (87). Install ten bolts (76). Install O-ring seal (77). 35. Adjust cams (81) until swash plate (110) is parallel to housing (9). Tighten nut (79) while holding cam (81). 36. Assemble adjustment valve (33) as follows: a. Install ball (36) and spring (37) in body (45).b. Install O-ring seal (39) on plug (40).c. Install screw (41) into plug (40). Install retainer (38) in plug (40). Install the plug in body (45). Tighten it to a torque of 40 N m (30 lb ft).d. Install nut (42) on screw (41). Tighten it to a torque of 9.5 N m (7 lb ft).37. Install two O-ring seals (44) and plugs (43) into body (45). Tighten the plugs to a torque of 30 N m (22 lb ft).38. Assemble both adjustment valves (31) as follows: a. Install spool (49) in body (45).b. Install valve (50), spring (51) and retainer (52) in body (45).c. Install O-ring seal (53) and plug (54). Tighten the plug to a torque of 130 N m (95 lb ft).d. Install screw (55) in plug (54). Install nut (56) on screw (55). Tighten nut (56) to a torque of 23 N m (17 lb ft).39. Install two O-ring seals (46) and (47) and ring (48). 40. Assemble servo valve spool (29) as follows: a. Install spool (61), retainer (62), springs (63) and (64) in cover (57).b. Install O-ring seal (65) on retainer (72). Install retainer (72) in cover (57).c. Install nut (73) on retainer (72).d. Install setscrew (74) in retainer
