View B-B (27) Oil supply port from the steering pumps. (28) Pilot oil port for a left turn. The steering control valve consists of the following components: cylinder crossover relief valve (20), shuttle valve (23) for the signal oil, relief valve (11) for the steering system and steering control valve spool (8) .Pilot pressure oil from the steering metering pump is used to actuate steering control valve spool (8) . Spool (8) directs the flow of high pressure oil from the steering pumps to the steering cylinders.Pilot oil flows to spool (8) only when the steering wheel is being turned. The flow of pilot oil to the spool is stopped when the rotation of the steering wheel is stopped. The flow of pilot oil is also stopped when a steering neutralizer valve contacts the stop assembly. This occurs after a complete turn has been made. When the pilot oil flow is stopped, spring (14) moves spool (8) to the NO STEER position. While the steering control valve is in the NO STEER position, spool (8) blocks the high pressure oil in the oil lines to the steering cylinders. This will keep the machine turned in the stopped direction of the steering wheel.High pressure oil from oil supply
