Information:
It will be necessary to modify engine support bracket (2) in order to mount the new starter in place. The plate closest to the starter needs to be modified. Illustration 1 shows the area of the support which needs to be modified by grinding material away for increased clearance.
A new 8U5611 Engine Support Bracket is available which has increased clearance for the starter.

The relay switch and wiring harnesses were needed to protect the former starter from power surges and are no longer needed with the new starter.
