Reinstall disc saw (2) that was removed in Step 1 by using 4 of the 12 mounting bolts. Disc saw (2) will help to locate the new tree support plate.

Place the newly fabricated tree support plate in position. Place several 3.5 0.5 mm (0.14 0.02 inch) shims between the saw and the tree support plate. Position the tree support plate. Clamp the tree support plate into position.
Maintain a gap of 5.5 0.5 mm (0.23 0.02 inch) between tree support plate and teeth. Refer to Illustration 8.
Tack weld tree support plate (5) to tree basket plate (3) .
Remove disc saw (2) from the head.
Weld the tree support plate and the gusset plate to the head by completing the following steps in the order that is listed below. Use the welding material that is described in Table 3.
Position the tree support plate so that the tree support plate bows downward in the center by 6.5 0.5 mm (0.26 0.02 inch). Clamp the tree support plate to the frame assembly. Hold the tree support plate in this position until the welding is completed and the components have cooled to room temperature.Note: Preheat all material to
