(8BM) BG-2455C (6TN) ASPHALT PAVERSTHIS TIB REPLACES THE OCTOBER 29, 1997 TIB. COMPONENT: 0770 "BRAKE GAUGE MAY FAIL". DESTROY THE OCTOBER 29, 1997 TIB. IT WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE QUARTERLY INDEX.Problem:
The above pressure gauge may fail due to the pressure reducing valve not being set properly. Solution:
The pressure reducing valve needs to be adjusted to protect the gauge.1. Install a 8T-0858 gauge (0-2300) psi gauge into the gauge port of the throttle, brake and travel manifold located on the side of the hydraulic tank.2. Use the instructions in the Auxiliary Testing and Adjusting Manuals, KENR2899 for the BG-2455C, KENR2886 for the AP-1055B, and adjust the pressure reducing valve to 3450 kpa (500 psi).3.
