Engine Stop Button
Push to stop the engine. Release the button when the engine has stopped.Ether Start Button
Push the button and hold for three seconds then release. This provides a measured shot of ether to assist starting in cold weather.Start Switch
This is a spring loaded switch used to start the engine. The OFF position is the normal position wether the engine is running or not.The START position energises the starter solenoid. Press in and turn to the start position.Turn Signal/Hazard Light Switch
1. Turn Signals - push the switch up for a right turn and down for a left turn. The mid position is OFF.2. Hazard Lights - pull out to make all turn signals flash simultaneously. Push the turn signal switch up or down to cancel the hazard warning.Air Conditioning Unit (if equipped)
The optional air conditioning unit is controlled by two switches and a control knob.1. ON/OFF switch which actuates the air conditioner.2. Four position switch which controls the fan speed. The four positions are OFF, LOW (L), MEDIUM (M) and HIGH (H). 3. Thermostat knob which controls the cab temperature. The cab temperature is lowered by turning the knob progressively further away from the OFF position.4. 15A circuit breaker. The air conditioner should be operated for ten minutes every day, regardless of outside temperature. Wait until the cab temperature is 21°C (70°F) or more before switching the unit on. Operating the unit daily helps to prevent the compressor seal from drying out, which would result in a loss of refrigerant.Seat Adjustment (Type 1)
1. Adjust the angle of the backrest by leaning forward and pulling up on the lever. The backrest will come forward. Lean gently against the backrest and pull the lever intermittently. The backrest can be made to move backward one notch at a time to the desired position in this way.2. Take your weight off the seat and pull the lever upward. The back of the seat will lift. Sit down again and operate the lever intermittently to make the back of the seat go down, one notch at a time, to the desired position.3. Take your weight off the seat and pull the lever upward. The front of the seat will lift. Sit down again and operate the lever intermittently to make the front of the seat go down, one notch at a time, to the desired position.4. Lift the lever and slide the seat to the desired position.5. Turn the wheel so that the number corresponding to the driver's weight (in kilograms) appears in the window. The wheel may be set to a number higher than the driver's weight but DO NOT set the wheel to a lower number.
If the seat is correctly adjusted you should be able to sit with your back against the backrest while gripping the steering wheel as shown and with the brake pedal fully depressed.
Ensure that all levers are correctly locked by sitting down two or three times and attempting to move the seat back and forward without touching
