Information:
Warmup and Break-In of the Differential
Note: Correct oil levels are critical in the axle housings. Check the oil level prior to operation. Allow sufficient time for the oil to fill all the compartments in the final drive housing. Allow sufficient time for the oil to fill all the compartments in the differential housing.Machine default forward starting gear is second unless on greater than 12% grade. Default rev start is first gear, but can be configured to second gear.Transmission will not shift up until a set temperature is reached.Warmup
At start-up, operate the machine in fourth gear or in a lower gear until the oil is warm. Allowing the oil to warmup gradually permits bearing components to maintain optimum operating positions. High speeds during a cold start-up will cause the temperatures of the rotating components to be different from the temperatures of the stationary components. High temperature differences within the bearing may result in less durability of the bearing component.Break-In
The running surfaces of the gears and the bearings are conditioned during break-in. Break-in brings bearing components to optimum operating positions.
For 15 to 20 minutes, load the machine with 60% to 75% of the capacity.
Limit the top speed to fourth gear for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.Placing a significant load on the bearing components at a lower speed creates a favorable condition of contact between the mating surfaces.
