Remove Air Inlet Manifold
start by: a) remove air cleaner 1. Loosen clamp (2) around the recirculation tube (4). Move tube away from manifold.2. Remove seven bolts (3) and one stud bolt (5) from inlet manifold. Remove inlet manifold (1).3. Put tape over cylinder head openings to keep out dirt.Install Air Inlet Manifold
1. Put air inlet manifold (9) in position on the cylinder heads. 2. Install and tighten the seven bolts and one stud bolt. Tighten the bolts as follows: a) Tighten bolts (3) and (4) first to a torque of 15 5 lb.ft. (20 7 N m).b) Tighten bolts (1) through (8) by number sequence to a final torque of 32 5 lb.ft. (43 7 N m). 3. Install recirculation tube (10) on inlet manifold. Tighten the clamp.
Make sure that recirculation tube is fastened correctly so that dirt can not get into air inlet manifold.
