Remove bolts (5). Remove panel assembly (6).

Remove bolts (7) and remove bolts (8) from bonnet (9).
Remove bonnet (9).

Remove bolts (10) from both ends of engine oil cooler (11). Remove engine oil cooler (11).

Remove gaskets (12) and remove O-ring seal (13) from bonnet (9).

Remove adapter (14) from engine oil cooler (11). Remove O-ring seals (15) from adapter (14).Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Check the condition of the O-ring seals. If the O-ring seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Always replace used gaskets with new gaskets.

Apply Tooling (A) to the bore of engine oil cooler (11) and O-ring seals (15).
Install O-ring seals (15) on adapter (14).
Install adapter (14) into engine oil cooler (11).

Position engine oil cooler (11) and install bolts (10).

Apply Tooling (B) to the contact surface of bonnet (9) and install gaskets (12). Apply Tooling (A) onto O-ring seal (13) and install O-ring seal (13) onto bonnet (9).

Position bonnet (9). Install bolts (8) and install bolts (7).Note: Lightly tighten bolts (8) and bolts (7) before applying torque.

Position panel assembly (6) and install bolts (5).

Position baffles (4) and install bolts (3).

Close grill assemblies (2). Install bolts (1).
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
