Use a suitable press to install bearing kit (21) onto shaft (22).

Use Tooling (D) to install retaining ring (20).

Install lip seal (8) into cover (7). Install shims (10), cover (7), and retaining ring (6) onto shaft (22).

Use a height gauge to measure the bearing assembly. The correct dimension is 120.7 to 120.8 mm (4.75 to 4.76 inch). This measurement determines the correct angle of the rotating group.
Add shims or subtract shims (10), if necessary.
Once the correct dimension is achieved, install retaining ring (6), cover (7), and shims (10) from shaft (22).

Install center pin (19) and bearing (18) onto retainer (16).

Install pistons (17).
Install retainer (16) and bolts (15).

Install washer (14) and spring (13) into barrel assembly (12).

Raise the temperature of housing (3). Lower the temperature of rotating group (11).
Install rotating group (11) into housing (3). Do not allow the barrel to separate from the pistons during the installation procedure.

Use Tooling (A) to install retaining ring (6).

Install head (2). Apply Tooling (E) to the threads of bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 33 4 N m (292 35 lb in).End By:
