(A) Air cleaner housing (B) Screw (C) Thread insert (D) Cyclone block
Remove screw (B) and cyclone block (D) from air cleaner housing (A). Save all parts. Refer to Illustration 2.
Clean cyclone block (D) with air and/or water. Blow dry air before installation.

(E) Filter housing (F) Element frame (G) Cover (H) Primary element
If it is necessary, remove primary air cleaner filter element (H) from the filter housing (E) to clean the cyclone block (D). Ensure to note the orientation of element frame (F) over the primary filter and cover (G). Save all the parts.Note: Do not allow water to reach the secondary air filter inside the filter housing (E). After washing, use pressurized air to dry filter housing (E) and cyclone block (D), handle with care not to damage the secondary filter.Note: If changing primary element (H), make sure to keep element frame (F) for proper installation of the primary filter element. Without element frame (F) the primary filter will not have an adequate seal in the housing.
Install cyclone block (D) in air cleaner housing (A) using screw (B) that was saved in Step 1.Procedure to Clean Air Cleaner Group for D3K2, D4K2, and D5K2 Machines

Remove four screws (B) and cyclone block (A) from air cleaner housing (C). Save the parts.
Clean cyclone block (A) with air and/or water. Blow-dry air in to cyclone block (A) before installing. Refer to Illustration 4.Note: Access to the upper retaining screws can be difficult.
Install cyclone block (A) in air cleaner housing (C) using four retaining screws (B) that were saved in Step 1.Alternate Cleaning Method for D3K2, D4K2, and D5K2 Machines

(C) Housing (D) Primary filter (E) Housing cover
Do not remove cyclone block (A) from air cleaner housing (C) .
Remove bottom housing cover (E) and primary filter (D). Refer to Illustration 5.
Flush cyclone block (A) with water and/or air from inside air cleaner housing (C) .
Clean outside of cyclone block (A) .Note: Do not allow water to reach the secondary air filter, which is inside air cleaner housing (C). After washing, use pressurized air to dry filter housing and cyclone block (A), handle with care not to damage the secondary filter.The cleaning procedures are adaptable to the machines that are listed in Table 1.
