1. Move the machine to level ground and stop the engine.2. Lower the bucket to the ground and engage the parking brake.3. Remove the pin from each clevis and disconnect control rods (4), (6) and (10) at hydraulic control valves (12). Place all three control valve stems in the HOLD position and ensure they remain in the HOLD position during the following adjustments.4. Remove the bolt that attaches tilt upper control rod (5) to bellcrank (8).5. Lock all control levers (1) in the HOLD position with locking lever (2).6. Loosen locknuts (3) and (11) on lift control rod (6). Each control rod has one locknut (3).7. Adjust both ends of the rod equally so that the length of the rod allows the clevis pin to be reinstalled easily. Ensure the minimum thread engagement on either end of the control rod is 10.0 mm (.393 in).8. Loosen the locknut on control rod (10) and adjust the control rod so that there is a 12.0 mm (.472 in) gap between bracket (13) and bell crank (8).9. Loosen locknuts (3) and (7) on upper tilt control rod (5).10. Adjust both ends of the upper rod equally so that the length of the rod allows the lower end attaching bolt to be reinstalled easily. Ensure the minimum thread engagement on either end of the control rod is 10.0 mm (.393 in).11. Loosen locknuts (3) and (9) on auxiliary control rod (4).12. Adjust both ends of the rod equally so that the length of the rod allows the clevis pin to be reinstalled easily. Ensure the minimum thread engagement on either end of the control rod is 10.0 mm (.393 in).13. Move locking lever (2) to the unlock position to unlock control levers (1).14. Move the control levers, one at a time, through the full range of their travel and check for interference. Also check to ensure the operation of the detents. Readjust the control rod(s) as necessary.15. Install retainers as required in the linkage.
