This Program must be administered as soon as possible.When reporting the repair, use "PI31214" as the Part Number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Codeand "T" as the SIMS Description code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI31214" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number,"96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for safety precautions prior to starting work.
Remove the air exit screen from the front of the generator. One bolt location at a time, remove the 0T-0768 bolt. Install a new 0T-0772 bolt, tightening the bolt to the proper torque value. Rotating the engine as required, replace the remaining bolts. Reinstall the air exit screen.

The shoulder on the bolt fastening the generator to the flywheel housing may be too long to allow for a proper joint. The old bolts need to be replaced with a new shorter bolt on the products listed below. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
