Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the rotor brake.

Possible injury can result when removing the retaining ring and spring.Spring force will be released when the retaining ring is removed.Be prepared to hold the cylinder assembly as the retaining ring is removed.

Remove plug (22).
By using a press and the mandrel, compress disc springs (19) in order to eliminate the force on the spring housing (21).
Use a Tooling (A) to remove spring housing (21) in the counterclockwise direction. The disc springs (19) and shim (20) will be accessible when the spring housing (21) is removed.
Remove coupling nut (18).
Remove set screw (17).
Remove nut (4) and capscrew (9).
Remove brake pads (1).
Remove piston (14) and piston (16). Note: New seals must be installed whenever the brake is disassembled.
Piston (14) may be removed from piston (16). Push piston (14) through set screw hole with a small nut driver or a similar device.
Remove ring (15) from piston (14).
Remove backup ring (13) and seal (11).
Remove seal (10) , backup ring (8), and wiper (7).
Remove O-ring seal (5).
Remove roll pin (12) from forged plate (16).
Remove dust cap (2) and purging screw (3).
