Check the condition of all O-ring seals and of all parts. If any components are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 1. Install Tooling (A) on hydraulic and steering tank (1), as shown. Attach a hoist and suitable lifting chains to Tooling (A). Put the hydraulic and steering tank in position on the frame. The weight of the hydraulic and steering tank is 580 kg (1279 lb). 2. Install 11 bolts (2) and the washers that hold the hydraulic and steering tank to the frame.
View with Engine Removed (Typical Example)3. Install the hose and clamps to the main hydraulic suction tube (obscured). Tighten the clamps.4. Install the hose and clamps to the steering suction tube (obscured). Tighten the clamps.5. Install the hose and clamps (obscured) to torque converter outlet tube (3).6. Connect the two hose assemblies to elbow (4).7. Install the two electrical cables to electric drive (5).8. Connect hose assembly (6) to electric drive pump (brake release/cab tilt) (7).9. Put wiring harness (8) in position and install the two clips. Connect the wiring harness to the three solenoids (obscured).
View with Engine Removed10. Put pipe (10) in position and install the eight bolts and the washers that hold it.11. Connect the nine hose assemblies to hydraulic and steering tank (9), as shown. 12. Install the three grommets on the hose assemblies. Put the hose assemblies in position in clamp (11). Put clamp (12) in position and install the two bolts.13. Put the accumulator charging valve relief valve in position. Install bolt (13) that holds the accumulator charging valve relief valve to clamp (12).14. Connect the hose assembly (obscured) to filter (16).15. Put manifold block (14) in position on the hydraulic and steering tank. Put hose assembly (15) in position. Install the clamps, bolts and the washers that hold hose assembly (15) and manifold block (14) to the hydraulic and steering tank.16. Connect the steering pilot oil return hose assembly (obscured) to the steering section of the hydraulic and steering tank.17. Connect the secondary steering diverter valve oil return hose assembly (obscured) to the steering section of the hydraulic and steering tank.18. Connect hose assemblies (17) and (18) to the connectors on the manifold block.19. Put the grommet and the clamp in position on hose assemblies (17) and (18). Install two bolts (19) and the washers that hold the clamp and the hose assemblies to the hydraulic and steering tank.20. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.21. Fill the steering tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.22. Purge the air from the service brakes. Refer to Braking System, Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Braking System Air - Purge" for the machine that is being serviced. End By:a. Install the air cleaner.
