Install 7J-9108 O-Ring Seal (8) onto the face of swivel tee (7) .Relief Valve Test
Check valves in the hydraulic system may allow pressure to exist in the hydraulic lines after the engine has been stopped. Pressure must be relieved prior to servicing the components of the hydraulic system. Failure to relieve pressure prior to servicing may result in personal injury.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines and on all hoses for installation purposes. Plug all lines and all hoses. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Install the vibratory compactor onto the host machine. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7774, "Work Tool Installation".

Note: Do not route the auxiliary hydraulic lines through the hose guide on the host machine.
Disconnect auxiliary hydraulic line (10) from gear motor (11) .
Install tee assembly (7) to gear motor (11) .
Connect auxiliary hydraulic line (10) to tee assembly (7) .
Connect a hose assembly (3) to the fitting of tee assembly (7) .
Connect gauge assembly (1) to the other end of hose assembly (3) .
Disconnect coupling (12) from auxiliary hydraulic line (13) .
Install a 7J-9108 O-Ring Seal onto the face of 6V-9510 Face Seal Plug (9) and install the plug on auxiliary hydraulic line (13) .
Enter the host machine.
Fasten the seat belt and lower the armrest.
Start the host machine.
Disengage the parking brake.
Press the hydraulic auxiliary control to the AUX 1 position in order to test the relief valve. Record the pressure reading on the gauge. The gauge should read approximately 10000 kPa (1450 psi).Note: Do not hold the hydraulic auxiliary control in the AUX 1 position for more than ten seconds in order to prevent overheating of the hydraulic oil.
Release the hydraulic auxiliary control.
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine.
Follow the procedure in the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the host machine in order to relieve any pressure within the hydraulic system of the vibratory compactor. For Caterpillar Skid Steer Loaders, use the following procedure.
Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position. Do not start
