Separate the output transfer gears from the transmission planetary group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Output Transfer Gears from Tranmission, Torque Converter - Separate" for the machine that is being serviced.Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the separation procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove bolt (1) and the washers. Remove two hoses (2) .
Remove bolt (3), the clamps, the nut and the washers.
Remove four bolts (4) and the washers. Remove hose assembly (6) from tube assembly (5) .

Remove five bolts (7) and the washers from manifold (8) .
Remove manifold (8) .

Install Tooling (A) to transmission (9). Attach a hoist and suitable lifting straps to Tooling (A) .

Remove eleven bolts (11) and the washers that secure transmission (9) to torque converter (10) .
Remove two brackets (12) .

Use the hoist to carefully separate transmission (9) from torque converter (10). The weight of the transmission is 635 kg (1400 lb).
Remove output shaft (13) .

Remove O-ring seal (14) from transmission (9) .
