If you are removing a track roller on the right side of the machine, engage the counterweight lock lever. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Counterweight Lock Lever".
Release the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track - Check/Adjust".

Illustration 2 g01579213Note: Note the orientation of spacers (4) for installation purposes. The beveled edges of spacers (4) must be installed toward weld (5). Refer to Illustration 2.
If necessary, remove bolt (1) and the spacer. Remove bolts (3) and spacers (4). Remove guard assembly (2).

Use Tooling (A) in order to raise the rear of the machine. Position Tooling (B) under the machine, as shown. Remove Tooling (A).

Position Tooling (C) under the counterweight.

Use Tooling (A) in order to raise the front of the machine. Position Tooling (B) under the machine. Remove Tooling (A).

If necessary, remove bolts (6), spacers (7), and guard assembly (8). Repeat this step for the other side of the roller frame.

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (D). Position Tooling (D) against track roller (9). The weight of track roller (9) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb).
Remove four bolts (10) (not shown). Remove track roller (9). Note: There may be times when Tooling (D) will not have access to track roller (9). When this occurs, use two people in order to remove track roller (9).
