Description of Change: The new G3500B ECM software includes the following improvements.
The hydrax oil pressure switch is now less sensitive. There is a reduction of nuisance alarms for the low hydrax oil pressure E266 diagnostic event code.
The system for detonation protection is now more sensitive.
Improvements in the calibration for the oxygen sensor (if applicable)Note: Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) version 2006A or newer is recommended.Adaptable To: This software release supports the new 256-7635 Engine Electronic Control Gp. The software is backward compatible with the 209-5500 Engine Electronic Control Gp that is used on G3500 products. A listing of the new G3500 part numbers for the software are provided in Table 1.
