Move the machine to a level area that will support the weight of the machine.
Chock the wheels to prevent movement of the machine.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Perform lock-out tag-out procedures to the operator controls in the cab of the machine.

Completely weld plate assembly (1) to the right-hand rear casting using 10 mm (0.39 inch) (W1) fillet welds on all four sides.
Tig and toe dress the welds to increase the weld strength and fatigue characteristics.
Grind the welds (W1) smooth, then clean the area around the welds.
Reinstall the stabilizer bar and harness removed earlier from the bracket assembly and the frame.
Paint the welded are with a Cat approved paint.
Check operation of the stabilizer bar and put the machine back into service.
