Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Clean all mating surfaces. Position housing (11) on fuel injection pump (5). Ensure that the mark is in the proper position. Install bolts (12) .

Install gear (10). Install nut (9). Tighten nut (9) to a torque of 83 to 98 N m (61 to 72 lb ft). Install the bolt and bracket (8). Install O-ring seal (7) .

Position fuel injection pump (5) and install bolt (6) .

Ensure that timing marks on teeth (4) are in the correct position.

Install O-ring seal (3) and cover (1). Install bolts (2) .
Check the fuel injection timing. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Fuel Injection Timing - Check - Distributor Pump".End By: Install the fuel injection lines. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Injection Lines - Remove and Install".
