296-09 Unable to communicate with Transmission ECM is active for 5 minutes.
The transmission control sends negative speed limit values for 5 minutes.System Response:The ECM will derate the engine by ten percent.
Low power
There may be a problem with the CAT Data Link.
There may be a problem with the transmission control.Test Step 1. Check for Diagnostic Codes
Connect the ET to the service tool connector.
Turn the keyswitch to the ON position. The engine should be OFF.
Check for any Active Diagnostic Codes or Logged Diagnostic Codes.Expected Result:There should be no diagnostic codes that are present.Results:
OK - Proceed to Test Step 2.
