Information:

1. Lower the bucket to the ground with the stick fully extended and the bucket fully opened.2. Remove the bolts, spacer and bar from the rod end pin. 3. Fasten a hoist to the rod end of the cylinder. Start the engine. Operate the boom control lever until there is no force against the rod end pin. Install tooling (A) and remove pin (1). Operate the boom control lever and move the rod into the cylinder. Stop the engine.
If both boom cylinders are to be removed, follow the procedures in Steps 2 and 3 for the other boom cylinder before disconnecting any oil lines.
4. To release the oil pressure in the boom cylinder circuit, slowly open screw (2) 1/2 turn until the oil pressure is released. Tighten the screw. Slowly open the screw on the bottom of manifold (3) 1/2 turn until the oil pressure is released. Tighten the screw.
Do not disconnect any oil lines from the boom cylinders until all oil pressure in the boom cylinder circuit has been released.
5. Disconnect oil lines (4) and (5) from the cylinder.6. Lower the cylinder and fasten the hoist to both ends of the cylinder. 7. Remove the bolts, spacer, and bar from the head end pin. Remove pin (6). Remove the cylinder. The weight of the cylinder is 500 lb. (227 kg).Install Boom Cylinders
1. Fasten a hoist to the cylinder. Put the cylinder in position and install head end pin (1).2. Install the bar, spacer, and bolts that hold the pin in place. 3. Connect oil lines (2) and (3) to the cylinder.
If both boom cylinders were removed, follow the procedures in Steps 1 through 3 for the other cylinder before operating the machine.
4. Lift the cylinder until it is in a straight line with the hole in the boom for the rod end pin. Start the engine. Operate the boom control lever and move the rod out of the cylinder until the bore in the rod is in alignment with the bore in the boom. Install pin (4). 5. Install bar (6), spacer, and bolts (5) that hold the pin in place.Disassemble Boom Cylinders
start by: a) remove boom cylinders1. Remove the oil lines from the cylinder. 2. Fasten a hoist to the cylinder. Put cylinder (1) in position on tool (A).3. Move the rod out of the cylinder until the rod is fully extended. 4. Remove bolts (8) from the head. Remove the rod and head from cylinder (1).5. Remove nut (2), piston (12), stop (5), and head (14) from the rod.6. Remove ring (3) and seal assembly (4) from the piston.7. Remove seal (13) from the stop.8. Remove seals (9), (10), and (11) from the head. Remove ring (6) and O-ring seal (7) from the head.Assemble Boom Cylinders
1. Install ring (6) and O-ring seal (7) on head (14). Put oil on the ring and seal.2. Install seal (11). Install seal (10) with the sealing end of the seal toward the head end of the cylinder. Install seal
