Truck Engine News SEBD6783, October 2005, "Improved Pressure Sensor Group Is Now Used on the Intake Valve Actuation System {1130, 5574}". Disregard the information in the 110 2005 Truck Engine News article. Refer to the information in the following article.An improved pressure sensor (Variable Valve Actuator) is now available for C15 ACERT truck engines. The 284-2728 Pressure Sensor Group should be used to service all engines with (S/N: BXS) and (S/N: MXS) serial number prefixes. Note: In order to replace the 224-4535 Pressure Sensor Group with the 284-2728 Pressure Sensor Group, a 249-5293 Sensor Harness Assembly is required.The 224-4535248-2168 Pressure Sensor Groups will still be used as service replacements on the C11 and C13 ACERT truck engines. Refer to Table 1 for service replacements for the pressure sensor (VVA) for C11, C13, and C15 ACERT engines.
