4-Wire AC Output Current calibration is done with a load on the system. Only the maximum currents are calibrated.This calibration needs done when the ESS PWA has been replaced.
Personal injury or death can result from high voltage.When power generation equipment must be in operation to make tests and/or adjustments, high voltage and current are present.Improper test equipment can fail and present a high voltage shock hazard to its user.Use electrical safety gloves when you are working in the cabinets.Make sure the testing equipment is designed for and correctly operated for high voltage and current tests being made.
Note: The system should be in Bypass mode.
Connect a PC to the UPS.Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "Personal Computer to UPS Connection".
Place system in Bypass mode.Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "Transfer to Bypass Mode".Note: Before proceeding, if this is a Paralleled MMU system, calibrate the MMU Currents from the Parallel Control cabinet (PCC).

Select "4 Wire Out Currents" from the calibration menu.The "Calibration of a channel" window appears.
Select "Use Defaults".
Open 4-wire output cabinet.

Probe Clamp Range and Output
Place the Current Probe Clamp on the bus bar for Phase A in the 4-Wire Output Cabinet.Note: Clamp should be rated at a 3000 amp maximum, 10 Hz to 100 kHz. The clamp should be set to 0.1 millivolts per amp.
Take a reading.

Enter the value that is shown on multimeter in "Enter Calibration Point" window.
Select "OK".
Move the clamp to the bus bar for Phase B in the 4-Wire Output Cabinet.
Take a reading.

Enter the value that is shown on the multimeter in the "Enter Calibration Point" window.
Select "OK".
Move the clamp to the bus bar for Phase C in the 4-Wire Output Cabinet.
Take a reading.

Select "OK".
