Introduction
The control valve for the brake and the clutch controls the steering of the tractor. The valve may require adjustment if one of the following conditions exist:
The tractor makes a turn without steering input.
The steering of the machine is erratic.
The machine has a smaller turning radius in one direction versus the other direction.Use the following procedure to correctly set the valve.Required Tools

Install tooling (A) on the first pressure tap.
Run the engine at high idle. When the oil is at operating temperature, adjust the brake control pressure to 2310 170 kPa (335 25 psi). Adjust the clutch control pressure to 2410 170 kPa (350 25 psi).Note: The brake and clutch pressures are adjusted by loosening the locknut and turning the adjustment screw. If the specified control pressures cannot be attained, remove 0.50 mm (0.02 inch) of the shims from the spool. Readjust the control pressure.
After the control pressures have been adjusted, check the clutch pressure and the brake pressures at the following control lever positions. Pull the levers backward, until a higher lever force is felt. With the control lever at this position, the clutch pressure should be zero kPa and the brake pressure should be greater than 2065 kPa (300 psi). When the levers are pulled back all the way, the clutch pressure should be zero kPa. The brake pressure should be 310 105 kPa (45 15 psi).
