Adjustable Steering Column
The steering column is adjustable and has five different positions. The steering column in the forward position gives easy access for the operator. The steering column release lever (1) is in front of the operator at the middle-left of the column.
STEERING COLUMN ADJUSTMENT LEVER
1. Adjustment lever.Operator's Seat
The operator's seat has several controls for the adjustment of the seat.The suspension system is adjustable for an operator with a weight between 130 and 300 lbs. (59 and 136 kg). There is a total of 4 in. (102 mm) of movement in the suspension system. With the operator in the seat, turn knob (4) until the yellow pointer in tube (5) is even with the end of the tube.When lever (3) is pulled up, the seat can be moved forwards or backwards a total of 6 inches (152 mm) in 13 different positions.Lever (2) must be pushed down to adjust the height of the seat. There is a total of 3 in. (76 mm) of adjustment.There is a 5° adjustment of the seat cushion. The seat cushion tilt handle, for the adjustment of the seat cushion, is on the left hand side of the seat.The backrest can be adjusted a total of 10° in three different positions. To adjust the backrest, lift up on it, tilt it forward or backward, and then push down on it.The backrest can also be tilted all the way forward for access to the pressurizer filter. To tilt the backrest forward, lift it up as far as it will go; then tilt it forward until it is horizontal.The right-hand arm rest is fastened in place but the angle can be changed from horizontal to tilted forward. The left-hand arm rest is horizontal but can be tilted up to give the operator easier access to the seat.There is a compartment at the rear of the seat back for the storage of manuals, that can be locked. The seat also has snaps (fasteners) for an attachment snap-on cloth seat cover.

The pressurizer makes a supply of filtered (cleaned) air for the cab at a positive pressure to keep dust out of the cab. It is also the supply of air for the attachment heater and air conditioner.The pressurizer, including the filters, is in the platform behind the operator. The air from the pressurizer is 1/3 fresh (outside) air and 2/3recirculated (inside) air. There are six outlets for the air in the seat support and two in the front dash. The control for the pressurizer is a three-position switch with OFF, LOW, and HIGH positions. The switch is on the control bezel at the operator's left.
