the FT1488 Exciter Tester Group could not be used to test SR4 generators equipped with a 4W5271 Regulator Assembly. The drawings for the FT1488 Exciter Tester Group have been changed so that the exciter tester can be used to test all small frame SR4 generators used with 3200, 3300 and 3400 Series Engines.
Modification of existing FT1488 Exciter Tester Groups is simple and requires the addition of one transformer.
