Remove the turbochargers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
If necessary, loosen the clamp assemblies for the exhaust bypass valve. Disconnect the bellows assemblies.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to exhaust elbow (1). The weight of exhaust elbow (1) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb).
Remove bolts (2). Remove exhaust elbow (1). Installation Procedure

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to exhaust elbow (1). The weight of exhaust elbow (1) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Position exhaust elbow (1) on the support bracket and install bolts (2).
If necessary, apply Tooling (B) to the threads, the bearing surfaces, and the inner surface of the clamp assemblies for the exhaust bypass valve. Connect the bellows assemblies for the exhaust bypass valve. Tighten the clamp assemblies to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 4 lb ft). End By:
Install the turbochargers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
