Place the stick of the excavator in an extended position.
Extend the bucket cylinder in order to place the coupler in a fully curled position.
Lower the coupler to the ground.
Shut off the engine of the excavator.
Relieve the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic system of the excavator. Refer to the Operation Manual of the excavator for the procedure to relieve hydraulic pressure.
By using two 8T-4121 Hard Washer (12) and two 8T-4137 Bolt (13), mount one 345-4467 Bracket As (2) to the stick. Refer to illustration 2 for the approximate location.
Attach one 346-3047 Hose As (4) to the pressure line on the stick.
By using one 2P-1279 Locknut (8), mount the 148-8384 Elbow As (7) to the pressure side 345-4467 Bracket As (2) .
Connect the 346-3047 Hose As (4) to the 148-8384 Elbow As (7) .
Attach the 359-2913 Hose As (6) to the 148-8384 Elbow As (7) .
Attach one 346-3046 Hose As (3) to the tank line on the stick.
By using one 6V-9168 Nut (11), two 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (9), mount the 6V-8980 Elbow (10) to the tank side of the 345-4467 Bracket As (2) .
Connect the 346-3046 Hose As (3) to the 6V-8980 Elbow (10) .
Attach the 359-2912 Hose As (5) to the 6V-8980 Elbow (10) .
Use the five 7K-1181 Cable Strap (1) as needed to secure the hose assemblies to the stick.
Test the operation of the coupler.
Rotate the coupler from full curl to the full retract positions. Observe the hoses for signs of rubbing or binding.

Inspect the fittings for hydraulic leaks.Note: Always use a board or cardboard when you check for a leak. Leaking fluid that is under pressure can penetrate body tissue.
