Removal Procedure
The turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor can be installed in either an exhaust elbow or an exhaust adaptor. The remove procedure is the same for both applications.

Cut cable strap (3) and cable strap (5).
Disconnect harness assembly (4) from harness assembly (6).
Use a suitable tool in order to remove turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor (2) from exhaust elbow (1). Installation Procedure

Ensure that all components of the turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor are clean and free from wear and damage. If any component of the turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor is worn or damaged, the assembly of the turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor must be replaced.

Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor (2).
Use a suitable tool in order to install turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor (2) to exhaust elbow (1). Tighten the turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor to a torque of 45 N m (33 lb ft). Ensure that the turbocharger exhaust temperature sensor does not come into contact with any engine components.
Connect harness assembly (4) to harness assembly (6).
Install a new cable strap (3) and a new cable strap (5). Note: Ensure that the cable straps meet the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specification.
