Remove gasket (34) from pump (2) .
Remove bolts (35). Remove cover (3) and the O-ring seal.

Remove bearing cone (37) from the shaft.
Remove the plug and O-ring seal (38) from pump (2) .

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Use a press to compress spring (44). Use Tool (A) to remove snap ring (43) from the groove in the barrel (40) .
Slowly release the compression on spring (44) .
Remove the following parts from barrel (40) : Guide (41), guide (42) and spring (44) .Note: Guide (41) and guide (42) are different sizes. Identify the guides for assembly purposes.

Remove shaft (45) from pump (2) .

Tilt and remove swashplate (46) and pistons (47) as an assembly from pump (2) .

Remove bolts (48). Remove the following parts from swashplate (51) : plate (49), plate (50) and pistons (47) .
Remove pistons (47) from plate (53) .
If necessary, remove stops (52) from swashplate (47) .

Use Tool (B) to remove two lip seals from the housing. Note the direction of the lip seals for assembly.
Use Tool (A) to remove two snap rings (60) between two lip seals (59) .
