The control module informs the monitoring system about the condition of the machine. Some examples are: hydraulic oil temperature, engine coolant temperature, and fuel level.
The control module informs the monitoring system about any existing and/or past failures of the electronic control system.
Various settings of the controller are performed.
Adjustment and testing of the electronic control system are performed.Procedure to Enter the Service Mode
The keys of the monitor and Soft Switch Panel to the right of the operator can be used to enter the service mode. Press the appropriate key until the desired mode is displayed on the message center. Use the following steps to enter the service mode.

Main Menu Screen
From the Main Menu, the screen in Illustration 2 will be displayed. Press the Right key or the Left key until "Service" is highlighted.
After "Service" is highlighted, press the "OK" Key .

Service Password Entry Screen
After the "OK" key (3) is pressed, the screen (see above) will be displayed. The left and right arrow keys are used to input the password. The factory preset number for the service menu is "9992". For more information on password entry, refer to the Systems Operation, "Password Entry" section of this manual.
When the correct password has been entered, the monitor indicates that the service mode has been entered. The following options are available and will be discussed in detail in this manual:

Device TestExiting the Service Mode
Exiting the service mode is done by turning the key start switch to the OFF position. The service mode will be terminated 10 seconds after the start switch is turned to the OFF position. To exit the service mode but not turn off the machine, press the Home key during the process of a function. The monitor will return to the default screen within 2 seconds.
