Remove the enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure Group - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the coolant into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

Remove panel (1) from cooling system package (2).

Disconnect hose (3), hose (4), and hose (6) from cooling system package (2). Disconnect harness assembly (5).

Disconnect hose (7) from cooling system package (2).

Remove fan guard assembly (8) from cooling system package (2).

Disconnect hose (9) and hose (10) from cooling system package (2).

Remove bracket (11). Disconnect hose (12) from cooling system package (2).

Disconnect hose assemblies (13) and (14).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cooling system package (2). The weight of cooling system package (2) is approximately 154 kg (340 lb).

Remove bolts (15) from both sides of cooling system package (2). Remove cooling system package (2).
