This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3562" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3562" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the December 26, 1991 Service Letter. Changes were made to the Parts Needed. All engines that had the three 4L6454 Bolts installed prior to this revision need to have those three bolts replaced with three 5S7379 Bolts.
Problem
The aftercooler cover may crack or break on certain 3412 SI Engines if excessive pressure occurs. A new aftercooler cover needs to be installed on these engines.

Parts Stock
Remove all 4P3029 Covers and 4P3031 Elbows from parts stock.
Affected Product
Remove the existing aftercooler cover and elbow. Replace them with the new Cover, Plate, Gasket, and associated hardware.

Submit one claim for all 4P3029 Covers and 4P3031 Elbows removed from parts stock.
