Location of Traction control valve (1) Traction control valve (1) is located on the inside of the left or right frame rails. The traction control valve contains two reducing spools. The two reducing spools control the left and right parking brake release oil flow.

If either drive wheel begins to spin, the TCS can increase the power that is sent to the wheel that has better traction. This is done by applying the parking brake of the wheel that has less traction. The TCS is functional at ground speeds under 19 km/h (12 mph).
