Remove & Install Gas Pressure Regulator
1. Disconnect electrical connector (1). 2. Remove bolt, nut and clamp (3).3. Remove bolt, nut and washer (4).4. Remove four bolts and washers (2). 5. Disconnect two hoses (6). Cap and plug all openings immediately.6. Support gas pressure regulator(5).7. Remove two bolts and washers (7).8. Remove both gas pressure regulators (5) as a unit. The following steps are for the installation of the gas pressure regulator. 9. Put the gas pressure regulators in position and install two bolts and washers (7).10. Apply 4C-9505 Form A Gasketto the threads of hoses (6). Connect hoses (6). 11. Install four bolts and washers (2).12. Install bolt, nut and washer (4).13. Install bolt, nut and clamp (3). 14. Connect electrical connector (1).Disassemble & Assemble Gas Pressure Regulator (CNG)
Start By:a. remove gas pressure regulator The procedure for disassembly and assembly of both gas pressure regulators is the same. Only one of the gas pressure regulators will be used for this procedure. 1. Remove tube assembly (1).2. Disconnect two tube assemblies (4).3. Remove four bolts and lockwashers (2).4. Remove bracket (3) from the gas pressure regulator assembly. 5. Remove one bolt and nut (5) holding the clamp to joint assembly (6).6. Remove right gas pressure regulator assembly (7) from joint assembly (6). 7. Remove elbow assembly (8) from gas pressure regulator assembly (7).8. Remove four screws and lockwashers (10).9. Remove adjusting assembly (9), the gasket and the adjusting assembly spring. 10. Remove eight screws and lockwashers (11).11. Remove cover assembly (12). 12. Remove secondary diaphragm assembly (13). 13. Remove one screw and lockwasher (16) to allow for the removal of secondary lever pin (15).14. Remove secondary lever pin (15), secondary lever (14) and spring (18).15. Remove remaining six screws and lockwashers (16).16. Remove primary diaphragm assembly (17). 17. Remove primary diaphragm (19) and two springs (20) from primary diaphragm cover (21). 18. Remove primary valve pin (23).19. Remove two screws and lockwashers (22). 20. Remove regulator body (24). 21. Remove gasket (25).22. Remove spring (26). The following steps are for the assembly of the gas pressure regulator assembly (CNG). 23. Install spring (26).24. Install gasket (25). 25. Install regulator body (24). 26. Install two screws and lockwashers (22).27. Install primary valve pin (23). 28. Install primary diaphragm (19), two springs (20) and primary diaphragm cover (21) into regulator body (24).29. Install six of the seven screws and lockwashers (16) leaving space for the installation of secondary lever pin (15).30. Install secondary lever (14), spring (18) and secondary lever pin (15).31. Install remaining screw and lockwasher (16). Check diaphragm (13) for wear or damage and replace if necessary. 32. Install diaphragm (13). 33. Install cover assembly (12), eight screws and lockwashers (11). 34. Install the gasket, the spring and adjusting assembly (9). Install four screws and lockwashers (10).35. Put 5P-3413 Pipe Sealanton the threads of elbow assembly (8). Install elbow assembly (8). 36. Put right gas pressure regulator assembly (7) in its original location into joint assembly (6).37.
