UPS Manual Mode
Failure to connect the unit to a suitable grounding electrode creates an electrical shock hazard. An electrical shock will result in serious personal injury or death.
High voltage levels are present within the UPS. The UPS should be opened only by service personnel that are qualified. The UPS must have a proper ground connection to earth.
High voltage may be present. Work on this equipment must be performed by authorized trained personnel. Failure to disconnect the power source before performing maintenance or removing modules exposes personnel to electrical potential. Bodily contact with electrical potential will cause serious personal injury or death.
After power is removed, wait for 5 minutes before the UPS is opened. This action allows the capacitors to discharge. Ensure that the capacitors are at a zero energy level before performing work.
High voltage is present. Work on this equipment must be performed by authorized trained personnel. Personnel must be wearing Personal Protective Equipment that meets regulatory requirements to protect the body for the work that is being performed. Failure to use appropriate PPE to protect the body will result in serious personal injury or death.
Ensure that the UPS is powered down and de-energized.Use the manual mode after a power module replacement. Use all of the necessary precautions to avoid damage to the UPS.Preparation Without Voltage
Check all modules with an ohmmeter, including the freewheel diode.Use the IGBT test kit. The MTEST kit includes the board and the wiring. Refer to Illustrations 1 and 2.

Install all the MTEST boards.Note: The MTEST boards allow the checking of the supply voltage of the IGBTs commands. That is, the IGBT command can be checked to determine if the command switches "ON" or "OFF".Note: Do not use the TESTN board that is used for the UPSB125.

Place the wiring kit on Q1.
Disconnect the XF01 connector from the AC normal FIAT board (Q1). Put the connector from the kit on the FIAT board in XM01 connector.
Connect the AC normal connector and the XF1 AC bypass connector to the two connectors of the kit. Refer to Illustration 3.Note: The XF1 AC bypass is installed but not used on the parallels versions. Supply boards

Disconnect XF01 on the ALBT board.
Disconnect XF03 on ALIN board and connect the XF03 in XM01 on the ALBT board.Note: Open the "Emergency Power Option" (EPO) switch or disconnector XM19 on the EXPUT board. If the EPO is not open, the UPS will be start in normal mode when power ON.If all conditions are OK, turn on the power supply.Sub-Assembly Visual Check
