Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

Disconnect hose assembly (1) and hose assemblies (4) from exhaust manifold (2).
Remove hose assembly (5), hose assembly (6), hose assembly (7), and hose assembly (8) from the engine.
Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device on exhaust manifold (2). The weight of exhaust manifold (2) is approximately 30 kg (66 lb).
Remove bolts (3) and exhaust manifold (2) from the cylinder head.
Remove the exhaust manifold gasket from the cylinder head. Installation Procedure

Install Tooling (B) in the cylinder head. Install Tooling (B) at Locations (Y).
Apply Tooling (C) to both sides of exhaust manifold gasket (9) for the Coolant Passage (Y) only. Install exhaust manifold gasket (9) on Tooling (B) and the cylinder head. Note: Do not apply Tooling (C) to the exhaust manifold gasket (9) for the exhaust passages.
Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device on exhaust manifold (2). The weight of exhaust manifold (2) is approximately 30 kg (66 lb).
Install exhaust manifold (2) on Tooling (B). Install bolts (3). Tighten the bolts finger tight. Remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) and install remaining bolts (3). Tighten the bolts by using the following procedure: Note: The bolts that are Marked "X" are 200 mm (7.9 inch) long. The rest of the bolts are 170 mm (6.7 inch) long.

Tighten Bolt (1) through Bolt (16) in a numerical sequence. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 4 1 N m (35 9 lb in).
Tighten Bolt (1) through Bolt (16) in a numerical sequence to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).
Tighten Bolt (1) through Bolt (16) again in a numerical sequence to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).
Install hose assembly (8), hose assembly (7), hose assembly (6), and hose assembly (5) on the engine.
Connect hose assemblies (4) and hose assembly (1) to exhaust manifold (2).
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change". End By:
Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
