Information:
Remove And Install Fuel Injection Lines
Put (5F2807) Caps or (2F2990) Plugs in all fuel openings to prevent contamination.
1. Remove two bolts (3) from the fuel line clamps.2. Disconnect the fuel lines from fuel injection pumps (1) and adapters (2).3. Remove the fuel lines as a unit. The following steps are for installation of the fuel injection lines.4. Put the fuel lines into position on the engine.5. Connect the fuel lines to fuel injection pumps (1) and adapters (2). Tighten the fuel line nuts with tool (A) to a torque of 40 7 N m (30 5 lb.ft.) with tool (A).6. Install two bolts (3) that hold fuel line clamps.7. Remove (bleed) the air from the fuel system.
If new fuel lines are used for replacement, remove the identification tags from the lines. The tags can cause wear on the fuel injection lines.
