Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (E) and attach Tooling (C), and Tooling (D) to bumper (7).

Secure a lift truck to the front of the machine.

Apply Tooling (J) to the tube of the oscillating hitch. Use the lift truck and the suitable lifting device in order to position the front frame to the rear frame and install the oscillating hitch to the rear frame. Reposition Tooling (A) under the front frame.

Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (H) to bearing carrier (13) and the hitch drive shaft and position bearing carrier (13) and the hitch drive shaft. The weight of bearing carrier (13) and the hitch drive shaft is approximately 113 kg (250 lb).
Install bolts (14) to bearing carrier (13). Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of. Remove Tooling (H).

Apply Tooling (K) to the splines of the hitch drive shaft. Pack Tooling (K) 1/3 full to lubricate the lip of the seal. Position shaft yoke (11) and the O-ring seal to bearing carrier (12) and the hitch drive shaft. Install bolt (9) and washer (10). Note: The shaft yoke on the front and on the rear of the hitch shaft must be in alignment or a vibration may occur at high speeds.
Illustration 8 g03880040Note: Ensure rear face of thrust plate (8) is forward of the rear face of the carrier a minimum 0.2 mm (0.00787 inch).
Apply Tooling (L) to the threads of thrust plate (8). Position locking plate (6) and install thrust plate (8). Adjust the oscillating hitch. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Oscillating Hitch - Adjust".

Install clamp (4). Remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B).

Connect hose assemblies (1) and (2). If necessary, install elbow (3). Connect the harness assembly (not shown). End By:
Install the hitch drive shaft.
Install the center drive shaft.
