Do not overfill the crankcase. Engine damage can result.
Check the engine oil level while the machine is parked on a level surface and the engine has been stopped for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Open the right rear access door. Secure the access door.

(1) Oil filler plug (2) Dipstick
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Remove dipstick (2) in order to measure the oil level.Oil which is badly contaminated or badly deteriorated should be replaced early. Replace the oil regardless of the time interval.
Remove the oil from dipstick (2) .
Insert dipstick (2). Remove the dipstick again.

Maintain the oil level below the "FULL RANGE" mark on the dipstick and above the "ADD" on the dipstick. If the oil level is low, add oil.Note: If the oil level is above the "FULL RANGE" mark, operating the engine could cause the crankshaft to dip into the oil. This could lead to excessively high oil temperatures. Excessively high oil temperatures can reduce the lubricating characteristics of the oil. The reduction of lubricating characteristics of the oil causes bearing damage. Bearing damage leads to loss of engine power.Note: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "General Hazard Information" for information on containing fluid spillage.
Remove oil filler plug (1) in order to add oil.
Add oil, if necessary.
Clean oil filler plug (1). Install the oil filler plug.
Close the right rear access door.
