Start By:
Remove the cab.
Remove the piston pump (steering).
Remove the piston pump (implement).
Remove the piston pump (brake).
Remove the piston pump (hydraulic fan).
Remove the power train water pump.

Disconnect hose assemblies (1), (2), and (4). Remove hose assembly (3).

Disconnect sensors (5). Remove harness assembly (6).

Remove clip (7).

Remove brackets (8).

Remove hose (9). Disconnect hose assemblies (10) and (11.)

Remove cover (12). Remove grounding strap (13).
Illustration 8 g06284214Note: The hazardous voltage indicator is not designed as an absolute indication that the DC Power Bus has been discharged. Regardless of the state of the hazardous voltage indicator, always assume that there is hazardous voltage present in the system. Always personally verify that the voltage is discharged. Measure the DC Power Bus voltage with a volt meter between any exposed conductors and frame ground. Verify that the voltage is below 50 VDC before any service is performed on any of the hazardous voltage system components.
Disconnect cable assemblies (14).

Remove bolts (15). Loosen plates (16).

Remove adapter (18).

Remove bracket (19).
Illustration 13 g06284220Note: If necessary, use Tooling (B) to aide in the removal of generator assembly (20).
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to generator assembly (20). The weight of generator assembly (20) is approximately 905 kg (1995 lb).

Remove bolts (21).

Remove generator assembly (20).Installation Procedure
Install generator assembly (20) in the reverse order of removal.
