ACTION REQUIRED
The parking brake housing, along with parking brake pistons and piston seals, need to be replaced. Depending upon machine configuration, it may be necessary to remove the cab to access the parking brake group.
Refer to KENR6720, UENR0367, KENR6490, Disassembly and Assembly:

Parking Brake - Assemble
1. Remove the existing parking brake group from the machine.
2. Remove the 1741550/">174-1550 Parking Brake Housing from the brake group and replace with a new 1741550/">174-1550 Parking Brake Housing.
3. Replace the bleeder, piston seals, back-up rings, and pistons with same part numbers and install into the new replacement brake housing.
4. Complete the reassembly of the parking brake group and reinstall on to the machine.
5. After completion of the parking brake installation, kidney loop the parking brake hydraulic system until the oil meets ISO 18/15 cleanliness levels. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, for your machine, for additional information.
6. Test and adjust the parking brake as necessary. Refer to the Testing and Adjusting Manual, for your machine, for additional information.
