This Program must be administered assoon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI10236" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI10236" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. This Revised Service Letter replacesthe May 9, 2003 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Rework Procedure.PROBLEM
Inspect and replace the junction block that mayshort on certain D6R II Track Type Tractors. Improper thread on the bossof the junction block can cause loosening of the battery positive cableconnection to the junction block. This can result in a short circuit betweenthe positive cable and the machine platform, with significant damage tothe electrical system and machine stop. This unexpected machine stop couldresult in injury or death.

Rework Procedure
Turn off the switch group disconnect.
Disconnect the battery positive cable and checkthe internal thread of the boss on the junction block. See Illustration1.
Replace the junction block if necessary and reconnectthe battery positive cable. Use a new 7X2548 Bolt and refer to 1E0279Ffor tightening.
