Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the hydraulic control. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pilot Operated Hydraulic Control (Joystick) - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Mark the location of eight wires in harness connector (1).
Remove wedge (2) from harness connector (1).
Carefully remove eight wires from harness connector (1).

Remove screws (5) and handle assembly (4) from control rod (6). Note: Switch assembly (3) is threaded.
Remove switch assembly (3) from handle assembly (4).
Loosen nut (7). Remove control rod (6).
Remove boot (8).

Loosen nut (10). Remove control rod (9).
Remove boot (11).
Remove spring clip (15) and pin (16).
Remove lever assembly (12) as a unit.
Remove cam (13).
Remove bolt (14) and bracket (17).
Remove four bolts (18), retainer (19), plate (20), coil assembly (21), and plate (22).

Remove nuts (24), pins (26), washer (28), and spring (27).
Remove two plunger assemblies (31) and springs (29).
Remove snap rings (32), washer (35), adapter (33), and plunger (34).
Remove spacer (23) and adapter (30) from plate (25).

Remove spacer (33) and plate assembly (34).
Remove swivel assembly (35) and cup (36).
Remove four bolts (37), retainer (38), plate (39), coil assemblies (40), and plate (41).

Remove plunger assembly (45).
Remove setscrew (42) and spring (43) from adapter (44).
Remove the remaining plunger assemblies (45).
Remove nuts (46), pins (49), washers (48), and springs (47).

Remove adapters (50) and (51).
Remove O-ring seals (52) from adapters (50) and (51).
Remove valve body assembly (54) from plate assembly (53).

Remove two bolts (57) and the nuts.
Separate valve body assembly (56) from valve body assembly (55).
Remove two adapters (59).
Remove O-ring seals (58) from adapters (59).
Illustration 9 g00495024Note: The disassembly procedure is identical for all four cartridge assemblies. Mark the location of each cartridge assembly prior to removal. It is important to install each cartridge assembly in the original location during assembly.
Remove cartridge assemblies (60) and cartridge assemblies (61) from body assembly (56).
Remove connector (64) and screen assembly (62). Remove O-ring seal (63) from connector (64).

Remove retaining ring (65), retainer (66), and spring (67) from adapter (68).
Remove adapter (68) from cage (77). Remove O-ring seal (69) from adapter (68).
Remove plunger (70), ball (72), and spool assembly (73) from cage (77).
Remove O-ring seal (71) from plunger (70).
Remove O-ring seals (78) and (79) from cage (77).
Remove retainer (74) and spring (75) from spool (76).
Remove stop (82) and spring (80). Remove O-ring seal (81) from stop (82).

Remove cartridge assemblies (53) from body assembly (55).
Disassemble cartridge assemblies (83). Refer to Steps 35 through 41 for the correct procedure.
