Raise the machine and position Tooling (A) under the machine in the front and the rear of the machine.
Remove the idler wheels. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Bogie and Idler - Inspect/Replace".

Use Tooling (B) in order to remove retainer ring (2). Remove cap (3).
Repeat Step 3 for the opposite side of undercarriage frame (1).

Remove locknut (4) and the washer. Note: Discard locknut (4) after the removal.
Remove idler axle assembly (5).
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the opposite side of undercarriage frame (1).

Remove bolt (8) and the washer.
Remove idler axle (6). Note: If necessary, loosen bolts (7) in order to remove idler axle (6).

Remove O-ring seal (9) from the idler axle assemblies. Installation Procedure
Install axle idler assemblies (6) in the reverse order of removal.
If necessary, tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 120 20 N m (89 15 lb ft).
Install the washer and bolt (8). Tighten bolt (8) to a torque of 240 40 N m (177 30 lb ft)
Tighten locknut (4) to a torque of 450 50 N m (330 37 lb ft).
